Christmas Crokinole

Never heard of Crokinole? Me either, but some friends have and they needed a board.

This project was a Christmas gift for a couple of friends of mine. Alyse wanted to surprise her husband with a Crokinole board, but wanted one custom made. When she first asked me, I thought "Man, this is going to be a challenge." But I told her I could do it. I believe that you don't know what you can do, until challenged.

This challenge was pretty fun. The parts that I thought were going to be the hardest flew by, and the things I didn't for see were the hardest. But all in all, it was a fun project.

Not seen here are a handful of discs that are used to play, making those was interesting. These 1" diameter little pucks had to be hand sanded and cut to work right for the game.

I don't know if I'll make another Crokinole board, but I'm glad I made this one.
